What is the real cost of wrapping a pallet?

The answer to this question is more important than the price of a roll of stretch film.

How much film did you use to wrap the pallet?*
Enter the weight of the used film here. The easiest way to measure is to cut of the film you applied. But if you weigh your roll of film before and after the wrapping process, you can calculate the weight without removing the film from the pallet.

Note! The bast way to get the correct value is to measure the width with a tape measure. Might sound a bit weird, but often stretch film is wound oscillated (zig-zag). In practice the buyer sees there is 40 cms width, but the operator only gets 35 cms.

If you work with a turntable wrapper you need to count the rotations of the pallet. If you have an arm- or ring wrapper or a wrapping robot, you need to count how many time the roll of film passed a given position.

How many meters are on my roll of stretch film?

Measure the width of the film when applied to the pallet. Film is often rewinded on the roll with oscillation (= zig-zag). Sometimes because the edges are folded, sometime to....... The usable, effective width could be smaller than you would expect.
